What does SOHCAHTOA stand for?

How do I know which sides are opposite and adjacent?

Opposite is the side across from the angle. Adjacent is the side next to the angle (not the hypotenuse). The hypotenuse is always the longest side, opposite the right angle.

Does SOHCAHTOA work for all triangles?
