MD per interval = MD rate × τ

Css = Target steady-state concentration
CL = Drug clearance
F = Bioavailability
S = Salt factor
τ = Dosing interval
At steady state, the rate of drug entering the body equals the rate of drug elimination. It takes approximately 4-5 half-lives to reach steady state. Maintenance dosing replaces exactly what is eliminated to maintain constant average concentration.
